IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society will present the “IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Junior Best Paper Award” to recognize the best oral presentation and paper by a student at SMC Junior 2016. An achievement Plaque and honorarium award will be given. The honorarium is split equally among multiple student coauthors who also each receive a Plaque on the Conference Banquet at SMC Junior 2016.

The eligibility criteria for the competition are:

• Five semi-finalists will be selected from all the papers submitted and accepted to SMC Junior 2016.
• One author of each of the five semi-finalist papers is required to attend the conference and present their paper in a special Best Junior Conference Paper award session. Only an author of the paper can present the paper.
• A panel of judges at the special Best Junior Conference Paper award session will judge each paper on the presenting author’s effective oral presentation, and on the quality, and technical merit, of the paper itself.
• The presenting authors of the five semi-finalist papers are to attend the Conference Banquet where the winner will be announced.

In order to attend on the SMC Junior Best Paper Award application should be sent to Péter Pausits, SMC Junior 2016 Technical Program Committee Co-Chair (peter.pausits@irob.uni-obuda.hu) by July 9, 2016. Please use "SMC Junior 2016 Best Paper Award" as subject.
