Poster preparation and submission

IMPORTANT: Authors must send their e-posters in the appropriate format until September 18, 2016. There is no further extension. If you do not send your ePoster until this final deadline, you cannot present it at SMC 2016.

All accepted papers are equal regardless the method of presentation, so all final papers will be included into IEEE Xplore database if the paper is prepared according to IEEE format and if the paper is presented.
Each author has 10 minutes during poster session to present his/hers paper.
During the conference we use e-posters, so you are kindly asked to follow the instructions and send your paper to the given link until the deadline.

The SMC 2016 provides convenient e-Poster boards for the poster presentations. You can find the following guidelines and templates on our collaborator partner’s (Partners Pécs Ltd.) webpage, as well: http://www.epostersystem.com/

IMPORTANT: Authors do not have to bring along printed posters - each poster will be uploaded to the e-Poster boards.

The Authors have to prepare the e-posters and submit it according to following guidelines:

The most often used application for presentations is PowerPoint by Microsoft. This is a short guide to making a digital poster in PowerPoint.

1. Setting the size of the poster

Design -> Page Setup -> Width: 72 cm (28.35") -> Height: 128 cm (50.5") -> OK

Instead of the former settings you can download a template from here, which you can edit according to your needs.

2. Design your poster consisting of one(!) slide

For better readability use san-serif fonts (for example Arial, Helvetica, Verdana, Lucida). Use fonts with a minimum of 24 point size. Use bigger pictures, spreadsheets or charts if possible.

3. Saving poster in PDF format

File -> Save as -> PDF

File name must consist the name of the presenter and the paper ID (eg. JohnSmith_9999.pdf)

4. Sending your poster

Send your final PDF to info@epostersystem.com and takacs.marta@nik.uni-obuda.hu and use the following subject: SMC 2016 / Participant Name / Paper ID

IMPORTANT: Obviously you can use other (eg.: graphical) applications to make your poster. The only assumption is that the application should be able to be saved as PDF.
